The Artista Colorado is the third line in the Artista Series, announced at PCA 2025 and on shelves that May. Artista built the series around one idea: performance that outruns the price on the band.
The wrapper is Ecuadorian Corojo, a shade darker and a step spicier than the Sumatra on the Harvest. The binder is Ecuadorian Sumatra. The filler is a proprietary mix Artista sources from Central America, Africa, and the Caribbean, and the company keeps the exact makeup to itself.
The draw brings Spanish cedar first, then baking spice and white pepper that hold through the middle without sharpening. Underneath all of it runs a natural sweetness that keeps the earth from going flat. Medium strength, and it stays there.
Rolled at Tabacalera El Artista in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. Same factory, same family, three generations in.
