Bernheim 20th Anniversary 10 Year Old Limited Edition Wheat Whiskey
Heaven Hill Distillery Marks 20 Years of Innovation with Bernheim Wheat Whiskey 20th Anniversary Limited Edition
February 23, 2026 – Bardstown, Kentucky
Heaven Hill Distillery proudly announces the release of the Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, commemorating two decades since Bernheim introduced a groundbreaking style of American whiskey and helped spark the modern whiskey renaissance.
Originally launched in 2005, Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey became the first new American whiskey style introduced since Prohibition, boldly featuring soft winter wheat as its primary grain. This category-defining innovation marked a pivotal moment in American whiskey history—one that continues to influence the industry today.
“This release is both a celebration and a thank you,” said Max L. Shapira, Executive Chairman of Heaven Hill Brands. “When we introduced Bernheim Wheat Whiskey 20 years ago, we took a chance on a new mashbill and a new vision. The early support we received helped shape not only this brand, but also the growing appreciation for diverse American whiskey styles we see today.”
Crafted from Bernheim’s signature soft winter wheat mashbill, this 20th Anniversary Limited Edition features a curated selection of barrels aged 10 years and is bottled at 115 proof (57.5% ABV). The result is a rich, complex whiskey that honors both tradition and innovation. Produced at the historic Bernheim Distillery and aged in Bardstown, Kentucky rickhouses, this small-batch release reflects Heaven Hill’s continued commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
The whiskey displays a bright copper hue, opening with aromas of cinnamon and baking spices layered with notes of vanilla and oak. On the palate, it delivers rich flavors of molasses and butterscotch, finishing with a warm, lingering peppery spice.
The commemorative packaging further highlights the significance of this release, featuring a distinctive copper plate on the front—an elegant nod to its limited-edition status and the heritage behind the Bernheim name.
