The Cavalier Genève Prospektor Toro is an eye-catching 6" × 54 barber-pole cigar handcrafted in Danlí, Honduras. Its distinctive appearance comes from two different Nicaraguan Jalapa Viso wrapper leaves woven together, covering a Nicaraguan Habano binder and a multinational filler blend of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Paraguayan tobaccos.
Medium in strength and body, the Prospektor delivers a creamy, balanced profile of coffee, cedar, earth, toasted bread and nuts, with touches of sweetness and spice developing along the way. You may even pick up notes ranging from hazelnut and brioche to graham cracker and white pepper, with the cigar earning particular praise for its balance and smooth smoke production.
Fog & Flame Notes: There's a lot to make the Prospektor interesting before you even light it. The barber-pole wrapper uses two different shades of Viso tobacco from Nicaragua's Jalapa region, while the filler includes Paraguayan tobacco—a leaf you don't encounter very often in premium cigars. Put the two together and this is a genuinely distinctive blend, both visually and on paper. And, like other Cavalier cigars, you'll find the brand's signature piece of 24-karat gold leaf applied directly to the wrapper. A beautiful cigar with an equally interesting blend behind it. Smoke Gold, Stay Gold.
