The 2020 vintage of Pitray wine is a unique blend of early warmth, spring rains, and a drought summer. The clay-limestone soil has played a crucial role, ensuring the vines did not suffer from water stress. This has resulted in a fruit of great maturity and balance. The tasting experience is a journey through the warmth of the vintage, with notes of black fruits and ripe tannins, followed by the softening and tempering effect of the terroir. The wines are gourmet yet exude a sense of velvet and refinement. (Aroma of Wine)
- Blend : Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Malbec
91 Points - Wine Enthusiast
A ripe, dense wine from a fine estate in the western end of Castillon. It is a spicy, polished wine that has fine black-currant fruits and tannins that will soften. Drink this fine wine from 2025.
