The Clydeside Napier is a richly expressive Lowland single malt Scotch whisky crafted at The Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow, Scotland. Named in honour of Robert Napier, the pioneering shipbuilder known as the Father of Clyde Shipbuilding, this distinguished expression celebrates Glasgow's maritime heritage and commitment to craftsmanship. Made using 100% Scottish malted barley and pure water from Loch Katrine, Napier is matured for over six years entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV with natural colour and without chill filtration, it offers a beautifully balanced combination of ripe berries, floral sweetness, tropical fruit, rich orange marmalade and warming spice.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate truffles, aged Gouda, roasted duck, toasted walnuts and fruitcake. Its sherry-influenced richness also complements cherry tart, orange-infused desserts and caramelized nuts.
Tasting Notes: A richly fruity and elegantly balanced Lowland single malt, featuring ripe berries, sweet rose, tropical fruit, orange marmalade, cherries and creamy vanilla. Full Oloroso sherry cask maturation brings depth and gentle warming spice.
Nose: Aromatic notes of ripe berries, sweet rose petals and tropical fruits create a vibrant and inviting bouquet.
Palate: Layers of rich orange marmalade, juicy cherries and smooth vanilla unfold with a rounded, fruit-forward character.
Finish: Warming cloves and ginger linger pleasantly, delivering an elegant, gently spiced conclusion.
