Produced in the United States, this Zinfandel originates from the renowned Lodi region of California. Cycles Gladiator was founded with a philosophy focused on celebrating the 'wine artisan' and the authentic expression of the vineyard. The winery emphasizes crafting wines that offer a high quality-to-price ratio, ensuring their bottles reflect the unique nuances of their origin rather than mass-produced styles.
Wine Description
This wine displays a deep, dark ruby red colour in the glass. The bouquet is rich and aromatic, featuring sweet notes of black cherries, strawberries, and plums, complemented by subtle hints of baking spices and smoke. On the palate, it is a medium to full bodied Zinfandel with jammy fruit flavours and a touch of peppery spice. It is beautifully structured with silky tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a smooth, fruit-driven finish.
Food Pairing
The bold fruit and spicy undertones of this Zinfandel make it an ideal companion for grilled meats such as BBQ pork ribs, lamb chops, or a hearty steak. It also pairs exceptionally well with rich, tomato based pasta dishes and wood fired pizzas.
