High West High Country American Single Malt Whiskey is a pioneering expression that showcases the artistry of American single malt production in the high-altitude Wasatch Mountains of Utah. Distilled and blended by High West Distillery, this innovative whiskey represents a distinctly American take on the single malt tradition, crafted entirely from malted barley and aged in the unique climate of Park City.
The high-altitude aging environment, with its dramatic temperature swings and low humidity, creates a whiskey with exceptional character and complexity. The result is a beautifully balanced American single malt with layers of rich malt sweetness, subtle fruit notes, and gentle oak influence that sets it apart from traditional Scotch single malts.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Rich malt, honey, and vanilla with hints of dried fruit, toasted oak, and subtle spice
- Palate: Smooth and complex with notes of caramel, malted barley, orchard fruit, butterscotch, and warm baking spices
- Finish: Long and elegant with lingering malt sweetness, oak, and gentle warmth
Perfect for single malt enthusiasts seeking American craft innovation and those curious about high-altitude aging. Enjoy neat or with a drop of water to unlock additional complexity. A standout expression from Utah's pioneering craft distillery.
