High West Bourye is a legendary limited-edition blend that marries the best of bourbon and rye whiskeys into one exceptional expression. The name "Bourye" (pronounced boo-rye) perfectly captures this unique marriage, creating a whiskey that delivers the sweetness and richness of bourbon alongside the spice and complexity of rye.
Crafted by blending carefully selected straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys, Bourye showcases High West's blending expertise and commitment to creating innovative, complex whiskeys. Each release varies slightly as the distillery selects the finest barrels available, but the goal remains constant: a harmonious balance of sweet and spicy that's greater than the sum of its parts.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Rich caramel, rye spice, and vanilla with hints of dried fruit, cinnamon, and toasted oak
- Palate: Bold and complex with notes of toffee, black pepper, honey, dark fruit, baking spices, and charred oak
- Finish: Long and warming with lingering rye spice, caramel, and oak
Perfect for whiskey enthusiasts who appreciate innovative blends and bold, complex flavors. Enjoy neat to experience the full bourbon-rye interplay, or on the rocks. A highly sought-after limited release from High West's acclaimed portfolio.
