Introduction
Produced in Canada, this luxury collection originates from the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario, a region renowned for its optimal icewine conditions. Inniskillin, Canada's first estate winery, was founded in 1975 by Donald Ziraldo and Karl Kaiser after they were granted the first winery licence since Prohibition. The winery's philosophy is defined by a commitment to extreme winemaking, leaving grapes on the vine into the frigid winter months to naturally concentrate sugars and acids. Inniskillin gained international prominence in 1991 when its Vidal Icewine won the Grand Prix d'Honneur at Vinexpo in France, a pivotal moment that placed Canadian wine on the global map.
Wine Description
This variety pack offers a curated tasting experience of three distinct premium icewines, each presenting a unique sensory profile:
Vidal Icewine: A golden-hued wine with a thick skin that thrives in late harvests. It features luscious tropical aromas of mango and lychee, balanced by a rich palate of peach and orange with a crisp acidity.
Riesling Icewine: A classic vinifera expression defined by its elegance and high natural acidity. It offers intense aromas of apricot, lemongrass, and honeydew melon, with lively citrus flavours of lemon and lime on the palate.
Cabernet Franc Icewine: A rare red icewine with a deep colour derived entirely from pressing rather than skin contact. It displays robust juicy aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and rhubarb, mirrored by a concentrated red-berry palate.
