Who puts parsnip in a gin? James Gin does, and the result makes a certain kind of sense. The root vegetable, once used as a sweetener, gives this 700 ml bottling a nutty, earthy body that sits at the centre of the recipe. Around it, Asia-inspired botanicals — ginger, cardamom and a peppery edge — bring aromatic warmth and lift.
At 40% ABV, the balance tips between the two: gentle sweetness from the parsnip, herbal freshness and a spice note that stays on the palate after the sip. It's a British gin that looks outward, comforting in one moment and a little restless in the next.
