Sazerac de Forge & Fils “Finest Original” Cognac is a rare and artfully crafted spirit—a liquid time capsule that channels the character of cognac as it was refined two centuries ago. A limited release that truly honors its namesake founder, Bernard Sazerac de Forge (established in 1782), this expression brings together both heritage and contemporary mastery.
Heritage & Craftsmanship
-
Historical Reverence: Named for Bernard Sazerac de Forge, this cognac revives the brand’s original spirit—rooted in the pre‑Phylloxera era and crafted using old, rare native grape varieties like Folle Blanche and Colombard.
-
Blended Ages: The blend includes eaux‑de‑vie aged between seven and fifty years—creating a cognac both fresh and profound, truly multi‑dimensional.
-
Bottling & Purity: Presented at 47% ABV (94 proof), non–chill filtered and free from additives, to preserve its lush textures.

Character & Perspective
-
Nose of Presence: Starts delicately—incense, baking spice, and a whisper of lavender-dusted linen. Then it deepens unexpectedly into golden raisin sweetness and textured character.
-
Flavor Depth: A quiet beginning leads into light raisin and gentle warmth, then morphs into a richer mid-palate with stone fruit, cherry, and fig, finishing on oaky spice.
-
Distinctive Style: It's both brighter and earthier than many contemporary cognacs—lighter in feel yet complete in presence.
Sazerac de Forge & Fils “Finest Original” Cognac stands apart. It's a dignified, heritage-rich blend that reawakens old-world craftsmanship in every sip. The silken texture, floral depth, and balanced spice work together to deliver a cognac that’s as layered as it is graceful. Truly, it’s a rare spirit that invites contemplation and rewards discovery.
